Accessibility
The NIU Journal of Legal Studies, Cyber Policy and Digital Governance, published by Noida International University, is committed to improving access to scholarly content, journal services, article pages, navigation, and digital publishing workflows for all users, including persons with disabilities.
1. Commitment to Accessibility
We aim to provide an inclusive and user-friendly digital environment that supports seamless access to journal information, article metadata, policy pages, archives, and essential user interactions across both desktop and mobile platforms.
Accessibility is an integral part of our continuous service improvement strategy. We are committed to identifying and reducing barriers that may limit access to academic resources and publishing services.
2. Accessibility Standard Target
We strive to design, develop, and enhance our digital services in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.
While we aim for full compliance, certain legacy content or third-party materials may not yet fully meet these standards. We are actively working toward improving accessibility across all areas of the platform.
3. Measures We Take
- Implementing clear heading structures and meaningful page titles
- Enhancing keyboard navigation and accessibility of interactive elements
- Ensuring readable typography, adequate spacing, and appropriate color contrast
- Optimizing responsive design across various devices and screen sizes
- Improving usability of forms, buttons, links, and status messages
- Promoting accessible publishing practices for authors and contributors
4. Accessible Scholarly Content
We encourage authors and contributors to follow accessible publishing practices, including:
- Use of structured headings and logical document flow
- Inclusion of descriptive captions and alternative text for images
- Clear and meaningful link descriptions
Due to the nature of academic publishing, some content—such as PDFs, legacy archives, complex tables, figures, or externally sourced materials—may have limitations in accessibility.
5. Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some areas of the platform may not fully meet current accessibility standards. These may include:
- Older or archived content
- Third-party integrations or tools
- Embedded multimedia or externally hosted documents
We are actively reviewing and prioritizing improvements in high-impact areas.
6. Third-Party Content and Services
Certain features of the website may rely on third-party services, such as indexing platforms, hosted documents, analytics tools, or external repositories.
While we aim to select and configure these services responsibly, we do not have full control over their accessibility compliance.
7. Feedback, Assistance, and Alternative Access
We welcome feedback from users regarding accessibility barriers or challenges. If you encounter any issues or require assistance accessing content, please contact us with details of the problem, including the specific page and nature of the difficulty.
Where feasible, we will:
- Provide alternative access to content
- Address accessibility issues
- Offer guidance or support for accessing materials
8. Review Cycle and Updates
This Accessibility Statement is reviewed and updated periodically to reflect improvements in technology, content, standards, and user feedback.
We remain committed to continuous enhancement of accessibility across our publishing platform.
