Peer Review Process

The NIU Journal of Business Analytics, Innovation and Global Management follows a rigorous, transparent, and ethical double-blind peer review process to ensure the publication of high-quality scholarly research. The identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the evaluation process.

Initial Manuscript Screening

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial evaluation by the Editorial Office to ensure alignment with the journal’s scope and submission standards.

  • Relevance to business analytics, innovation, and global management
  • Plagiarism screening using standard detection tools
  • Ethical compliance and research integrity
  • Formatting and adherence to author guidelines

Manuscripts not meeting these requirements may be rejected or returned for correction.

Assignment to Editor

Suitable manuscripts are assigned to the Editor-in-Chief or a Handling Editor based on subject expertise.

The editor evaluates academic merit, originality, relevance to scope, and suitability for peer review.

Reviewer Selection

The editor selects two to three independent expert reviewers in the relevant field.

Double-Blind Peer Review

The manuscript is reviewed under a double-blind system to ensure unbiased evaluation.

Reviewer Recommendations

Reviewers provide detailed feedback along with one of the following recommendations:

  • Accept as it is
  • Minor revision
  • Major revision
  • Reject

Authors must respond to reviewer comments and submit revisions within the given timeframe.

Editorial Decision

The editor makes the final decision based on reviewer reports, ensuring fairness and academic integrity. Additional reviewers may be consulted if needed.

Revision by Authors

Authors revise manuscripts according to reviewer feedback and provide a detailed response explaining the changes made.

Final Acceptance

After successful revision and approval, the manuscript is accepted for publication following final editorial review.
